My research examines the societal impacts of technological innovations and how these innovations influence decision making. My recent work focuses on digital platforms and artificial intelligence, notably in the contexts of the sharing and gig economy, healthcare, and fintech.

My research has appeared in leading outlets, including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Production and Operations Management, and the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association.

I was previously on the faculty of the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
